Minzu University of China International Summer School Enrollment Brochure 2020

To improve internationalized school-running level, enhance global communication and cooperation, and strengthen international competitiveness,Minzu University of China (MUC) sets up International Summer School in 2020. This year, we continue enrolling students from all over the world.

1. Sponsor:Minzu University of China

2. Organizer:College of International Education

3. Course time: From July 13th, 2020 to August 14th, 2020, 5 weeks in total.The courses, lasting for two hours eachday, are given from each Monday to Thursday;and there is alsoone-hourdiscussion on Friday andone-hourreview on Saturday.

4. Curriculum and faculty

Minzu University of China International Summer School 2020 invites professors from famous universities worldwide, including University of California, Berkeley, American University, University of Miami, and University of Michigan. Adhering to the principle of“getting complementary advantages from each other”, a wide range of disciplines are included, covering Economics, Mathematics, Liberal Arts and Science, Science of Law, History, Science, etc. All courses are taught in English with 60 contact hours. All the courses are not only in our teaching plan of related majors, but also corresponding with overseas university courses.After the summer session, students can get the corresponding transcript issued by Office of Academic Affairs, Minzu University of China. Each course values 4 credits.

5. Course selection requirements and relevant expenses

1). According to the relevant provisions of Ministry of Education, one student can choose 3 courses at most;

2). Registered studentsof our school attending the International Summer School will be exempted from paying the tuition fees and will only be charged 320 RMB miscellaneous expenses per course (non-refund). Please send emails tobjiss@muc.edu.cn to if you need more details.

6. Selection standard

Since all courses will be taught in English. To ensure the learning effect, we require students to get at least 75 in TOEFL or 6 in IELTS. English interview will be arranged. We will enroll students according to registration order and students’performance. Students who pass TEM-8 or have equivalent English proficiencycan be exempted from the English interview.

7. Registration process

1). Download Annex1 “Minzu University of China International Summer Session Course Application Form”

2). Complete the application form and send its scanned version tobjiss@muc.edu.cn by June 25, 2020

3). Get interview notice on July 1, 2020

4). A letter of admission will be sent to you within 5 working days after the interview.

5). Registration and payment date: July 12, 2020

6). Course start date: July 13, 2020

The info session will be held in the spring semester of 2020 with time and location to be noticed. It will explain the courses, faculty and other related information of the international summer session in detail to address students’ concerns. Students who are interested can attend this info session to know better about the importance of international summer session to internationalized education.
